Chocolate Cafe Makeover
The Café has never looked more beautiful. Antique marble countertops from Webers Candies (Bridgeton, NJ, est. 1888), wooden cabinetry from the 1880’s Jacob Hartmann Confectionery (originally on East Girard Ave.), and copper wall treatments are just a few of the recent improvements. Stop in this holiday season and sip some bean-to-bar chocolate in a fresh setting!
Shane Chocolate Works Bean-to-Bars
This season, we are proud to bring you three different origins of house-made bean-to-bar 70% chocolate tasting squares: Ecuador, Bolivia, and Guatemala. Look for their new packaging in the shop or at the Christmas Village at Dilworth Park.
Also available to order online!
Spoonful Magazine: Confection Affection

American car culture dates back to the early 1890’s, when the first vehicles were introduced in the United States. Henry Ford’s Model T rolled off the assembly line in 1908, and with it automobile imagery, especially in postcards, took off. Postmarked Dec. 24, 1908, just 6 months after the Model T was introduced to the American consumer, this postcard depicts Santa driving his down a snowy street.
